Staying at Iona Cottage near Bampton in the eastern lake district in late April 2023 we did a few short local hikes over the fields to Bampton and along the river. A separate trip over to Haweswater is covered in another tour Haweswater meander.
Parking was near the cottage, but still a little walk to unpack all of Rubys luggage.
Ruby approved of the HUGE garden/field.

The shed on the left was a games shed with table footy and a dartboard, and in the tree to the right, a treehouse.
