Betws-Y-Coed River Walk

A stroll along a river

One of the adventures we took part in during our week at Maes Yr Hendre holiday cottage, parking at Cae Llan Pay & Display Car Park and walking along a river bank.

The route starts in Betws-Y-Coed following a path parallel to the river. There is a longer river route but after a mile we turned back, following a path into some woods and then onto a road back to Betws-Y-Coed.

Here are some pics I took on the Betws-Y-Coed bridge.

A blurry pic as I was in a hurry, Ruby was getting impatient with all the photo taking. This pic shows some of the path was a wooden walkway in places.

Most of the path was dirt, with a few tree roots thrown in.

After a mile along the river bank at the Miners Bridge Footbridge it was time to turn back. Instead of following the same path back we took an alternate route a little further from the river, through the woods.

Once through the woods you join a local, quiet, road back to Betws-Y-Coed.
