After many fun Radar weekends at the Elan Valley Hotel (see it’s own page here), its closing meant it was time for a change of Welsh scenery. The annual Radar weekend away was therefore moved to The Manor on the Monnow.
The Manor on the Monnow, a brilliant Manor House on the banks of the River Monnow, a 10 minute walk from Monmouth in South Wales very close to the English border.

Our first hike around the area, following the river to a Vineyard. Since this walk, the footbridge over the river has been closed.
This was another similar route we did, starting from a Monmouth housing estate, across some fields and back along the river path. This route was done in September 2024 but I thought I’d log it on this page

After a fun weekend we headed home via central Wales and Snowdonia. Getting home after a good few hours with a total of 564 miles on the trip counter for the whole weekend.
