A short meander to some seaside industrial ruins.

As part of our week at Maes Yr Hendre holiday cottage we had a trip to the Porth Wen Brickworks. A derelict, abandoned, Victorian brickworks located on the north coast of Anglesey at Porth Wen (White Bay).

Parking by the side of the road here, this is the very easy route we took to the coast and the ruins.

Here's Tiggy taking a break by the road whilst we went off for a walk and a picnic.

The path starts off level and grassy, its quite easy for the whole route but does get a little steeper.

The first view of Porth Wen.

The path getting gravelier and steeper down to the ruins, here you can see the chimneys as we get closer to the ruins.

And a lot of pictures of the ruined buildings, machinery, and beehive kilns.

After an exploration, picnic and chill out, we headed back. One last look back at the ruins and Porth Wen.
