A day trip to Belsay Hall, Castle and gardens.

Free with your English Heritage card and just an hour oop North, parking right next to the castle here.

Belsay Castle is a 14th-century medieval castle situated at Belsay. The main structure, a substantial three-storey rectangular pele tower with rounded turrets and battlements, was constructed about 1370. Here's an idea of what the are looks like from it's own model.
